Q & A
Where is the wedding?
How do I get to the venue?
The L subway stop at Jefferson Avenue is directly in front of the venue.
Where should I stay?
We don't have a hotel block, but would love to connect friends. If you're interested in staying at a friend's place or hosting someone, let us know!
What is the dress code for the main day?
Dress up! Wear that formal outfit that feels so you and so good. And be prepared to dance.
What will the weather be like?
Late Fall in NYC is either perfectly crisp or a little cold. The wedding venue is indoors.
Can I bring a date?
If you asked for a +1, you got it and we can't wait to meet them. If not, please do not bring anyone else.
May I take photos during the ceremony?
Please do NOT take photos. We'll have photographers and videographers on site.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Let us know on the preferences tab.
Is there a gift registry?
We don't want any gifts, but we'd love it if you donated to one of these special foundations.
PolyBio Research Foundation - one of the premier institutions studying ME/CFS and Long COVID. While the latter is more commonly known, the former is an incredibly debilitating disease that leaves young people bedridden for the rest of their lives. One of our friends from college, Nick Joliat, has this and we'd love it if you could help find a cure by donating.
Crooked Forest Institute - creates affordable housing for people with chemical and environmental sensitivities. Besides being a very interesting exploration in communal living, they're also adored in the ME/CFS community because environmental sensitivities are a real problem for that community.
International Rescue Committee - we're both immigrants and we have a tremendous amount of empathy for refugees displaced by no fault of their own, whether from natural disaster, war, or persecution. The IRC is one of the premier organizations helping refugees with both emergency and long-term assistance.
GiveWell - dedicates itself to finding the highest-impact, most cost-effective charities in the world using rigorous, data-driven research to pinpoint exactly where a donation will save or improve the most lives per dollar.
GiveDirectly - allows donors to send unconditional cash transfers straight to families living in extreme poverty. This approach cuts out traditional bureaucratic overhead and trusts individuals to decide what their families need most.
Are kids welcome?
At Sunday brunch sure, but not at the wedding venue on Saturday.
